i'm still here! what I've been up to...

Yes, it's been more than two months since my last post. Where have I been?! Oh right, school took over my life... Even though I haven't posted since February, I've been baking! Here are a few treats I made over the last couple of months:

Valentine's Day - Strawberry Cupcakes
In honor of Valentine's Day, I made strawberry cupcakes with buttercream frosting. I tried a new recipe and wasn't thrilled with the results, but they looked pretty.







Baylor vs. Duke - Golden Butter Cupcakes
Since my Baylor Bears made it to the Elite 8 (sic' em!), I made golden butter cupcakes for our watch party. Even though Baylor was defeated by those darn Blue Devils, the cupcakes were a hit by those supporting at the Lambert house.





Mom's Birthday - Strawberry Cake
My mom's birthday was on April 3. To celebrate my Dad surprised her with dinner at Kyoto, and we (the kids), surprised her by meeting them there! Strawberry cake is her favorite, so after dinner we enjoyed strawberry cake and some delicious wine at my parent's house. The cake was a big hit!
